The Falkirk MOD 2008

Fundraising Walk September 13th to 19th 2008

Fort William to Falkirk Wheel 104 miles

Please support our fundraising walk when twelve people including the Provost of Falkirk will be following some of the old droving routes from
Fort William (Mod 2007) venue to Falkirk (Mod 2008) venue.

On arriving at the Falkirk Wheel it is anticipated that our walkers will be joined by hundreds of local schoolchildren who will have been working on Gaelic banners depicting the name of their school.

A junior pipe band will then lead the procession to the Falkirk Town Hall.  

We are looking for companies, groups, individuals etc to sponsor each mile for £20.  On doing this your name will be added to our web site against a specific mile on the journey until all 104 miles are sponsored.

Over 10,000 people will be descending on Falkirk and the surrounding area from 10th to 18th October generating significant income for the local economy.
